Ethnicity differs from race in that an ethnic group is more related to regions and nations. Members of nations
frequently identify with each other due to common ancestry, language, religion, and the culture of the
originating nation. This culture is transported when cultural members migrate to new areas.

Some ethnic groups are more regional than national. When this occurs sub-cultures may exist for the
individual nations in the regional culture.
